Mr Kenny is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, formerly known as the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants. He has worked as a Finance Manager of a Bank’s subsidiary. He has also completed the Cambridge International Awards in Teaching & Learning (CIATL) in 2019 and the Certificate in Teaching & Learning (CICTL) in 2020. He has acted as a mentor to fellow teachers studying for their CIATL & CICTL.

He has been teaching the IGCSE English First Language(EFL) since 2015 in the former Metro Learning Centre and thereafter in Kingsway from 2020. With his extensive years of service to the school, he was promoted to the role of Senior Assistant.

He prioritises interactive learning, utilising engaging examples and clear explanations to foster a supportive environment where students feel comfortable exploring concepts at their own pace, and believes in providing instant feedback and personalised assistance to help students overcome challenges and grasp difficult concepts effectively; and his lessons have the added value of relating lessons to real life applications.

Ames Lim Horng Wei

Mr. Ames holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic Engineering) with Hons. and has been teaching Mathematics at Kingsway since 2023. Considering himself as a chill teacher, his classroom philosophy emphasizes that learning begins with attentive engagement. He believes students should strive to surpass their past achievements rather than comparing themselves to others. To him, mistakes are seen as stepping stones to success, and he is always reassuring students that bad scores does not necessarily make a bad student.

Ms. Ashwini holds a Master of Education majoring on Guidance & Counselling and a Bachelor in Social Science with Honours in Anthropology & Sociology. She is known for her friendly and sporty demeanour thus fostering a welcoming classroom environment for her students to feel valued and encouraged to participate.

A firm believer in engaging and enjoyable learning experiences, she prioritizes interactive lessons that captivate students' interest. She believes that fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere cultivates meaningful connections and sparks a lifelong passion for learning. Her ultimate goal is to inspire her students to embrace curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking, ensuring they thrive academically and beyond.


Dr. Nithiya Arumugam

Dr. Nithiya joined Kingsway in 2022 and teaches Years 7 to 10 Mathematics and Science. She holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Resource Biotechnology from University Malaysia Sarawak, a Master of Science in Environmental Biotechnology from University Malaya and a Doctor of Engineering in Environmental Systems Engineering from Kyushu University, Japan. Her academic journey embodies a commitment to excellence.

Dr. Nithiya's teaching philosophy centres on ensuring that her students grasp concepts thoroughly, practice diligently and have fun in their studies. She believes that education is the most powerful weapon which can be used to change the world. For her although instruction does much, encouragement is everything.

Dr. Pavitra Nathan

Dr. Pavitra earned her PhD in Parasitology, DNA Molecular & Genetics, and Microbiome from Universiti Malaya (UM) and has taught courses in Immunology, Microbiology and Anatomy & Physiology at both Diploma and Degree levels in Segi College.

She teaches Science and History to years 7 – 9 students. She is known for her passion and commitment, with a flexible teaching style tailored to the needs and abilities of her students, and uses different strategies according to the unit topic and grade level, and ensuring that all learners can engage with the study materials effectively.

Eric Chee

Mr. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) from University Malaya majoring in Computational Physics and Electronics. With many years of experience in leadership positions and teaching, he brings enthusiasm and expertise to his classrooms. He teaches Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Believing in the spirit of giving more than taking, he views teaching as a selfless endeavour, as his greatest reward is seeing his students surpass him, and he advocates group work and hands-on activities

Mr. Ezekiel is a graduate of Tunku Abdul Rahman College where he earned his Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Sports & Exercise Science. He teaches Physical Education.

He cherishes his students and finds immense joy in witnessing their personal growth and development. Known for his fun and motivating demeanour, he constantly strives to bring out the best in his students not only in academic but also in character. In his classrooms, he makes sure that every student feels valued and supported in their educational journey. Happiness is when he sees the students enjoying their weekly workouts.

Jonathan Chin Weng Yew

Young and energetic with a diverse academic background fits his description. A holder of a Bachelor of Education (Teaching English as a Second Language) with Honours from HELP University. He has read Law and studied Literature at Brickfields Asia College (BAC). With such a varied experience, he is currently teaching English and Malay as a Foreign Language in Kingsway.

Firm yet equitable, he believes in inspiring students to reach their full potential through discipline and mutual support. He ensures students are proactive and applauded for their participation. Whilst adopting an open-door policy he believes in the importance of a teacher's feedback and clear instructions in the students' learning journey.

Josephine Selvarane Rasiah Thambipillai

Ms. Josephine has been teaching at Metro Learning Centre since 2014 and transitioning to Kingsway from 2020 onwards. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (U.K.) and also a graduate of the Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching and Learning program. Her subject specialties are in Accounting and Economics. Discipline and diligence are emphasized in her classrooms where students are expected to stay focus during lessons and complete homework diligently.

Ms. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) in Chemistry and has been teaching in Kingsway since early 2022. She teaches Year 7 to 11 Chemistry and Mathematics. She promotes active learning by mixing theory with practical lessons and integrates online learning for students' self-development and readiness for higher education.

Her teaching motto, "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, he will eat forever" shows her teaching philosophy. She not only prioritizes academic excellence but also the happiness and well-being of her students, and a believer in earning respect from students by first showing them respect.

Ms. Keshveen holds a Bachelor of International Business (Hons.) and has dedicated herself in teaching at Kingsway. She is described as a passionate, caring, and dedicated teacher, embracing "Teach with Passion, Inspire for Life" motto in her classrooms. She tailors her teaching techniques to each individual, ensuring that each student receives the attention and support to reach their full potential.

Mr. Micheal holds a Master in Microbiology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and a Bachelor of Science (Industrial Biology) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He had spent over 8 years as a dedicated teacher in Kingsway and teaches Biology, Chemistry, and Combined Science to students in Year 10 and 11.

Known for his proactive approach to stay updated with the latest scientific developments, he ensures that his students benefit from cutting-edge knowledge and exploration in the sciences. Additionally, Mr. Michael is also the school’s discipline teacher, where he aims to foster respect and well-mannered students.

Ms. Ng holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Chinese Studies and has 9 years of experience teaching the Chinese Language to students from Year 7 to 11. She is passionate about instilling understanding and appreciation for the Chinese Language and culture among her students.

Her classroom philosophy is built around creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to succeed.

Ms. Yuvaneswary holds a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Education (Hons.) in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). She teaches English, Malay and History with a dedicated heart in Kingsway since 2022. She implements the Quantum Learning Approach which is a technique that taps into students’ minds of natural way of learning to maximise their participation, comprehension, competency , reflection and self-assessment in her classes using the modern approach and her passion, whilst leaving a lasting impact on her students.
