OUR JOURNEY / STORY

Our journey started with a vision of providing high-level education for the children of our community. Although it was a small beginning in 2012, we are now reaching further our communities to the families and friends of our current students.

We provide a holistic education environment and curriculum for students aged 12 to 18 years old. From a small staff team of 4 (including the principal), we now have a teaching staff of 25 and an admin team of 5. We believe in creating the environment for our students to grow and excel, which were displayed by the excellent results achieved by the alumni students in the Cambridge IGCSE.

OUR VISION AND MISSION

The Vision and Mission of Kingsway International School is to facilitate a growth mindset and restorative justice quest through the development of our students to walk in the ways of Kindness, Integrity, Neighbourliness, Gratitude, and Sensibility whilst our students pursue Knowledge, Discovery and Truth (Scientia, Inventio, Veritas). Kingsway students will then be a blessing to their communities and beyond to the world at large as they are Watchful and Altruistic even with all their Youthful zeal.

Core Values

Kindness

We will build a school community where we are all empowered to be boldly kind. We recognise that every student is a unique individual with distinctive gifts. Every student is capable of identifying and developing their strengths and overcoming their weaknesses and we strive to guide them on that path towards kindness. We are boldly kind.

Integrity

We will be people of integrity, authentically practising effective communication. Every student is capable of being an honest and sincere solution provider; a critical and creative thinker that is equipped for the ever-changing challenges of an ever-changing world. We are people of integrity.

Neighbourliness

We will be others centred and partner with other stakeholders in our pursuit of Knowledge, Discovery, and Truth. Every student is capable of having empathetic collaboration with and acting in consideration of their peers. We are neighbourly.

Gratitude

We will be reverently thankful and gratitude shall fill our reflections. Every student is capable of expressing genuine gratitude. We are, after all, on a lifelong learning journey and even in adversities there are precious learning gems to be gleaned. We are reverently grateful.

Sensibility

We will have a growth mindset and practise restorative justice. Every student is capable of having sensible choices of words, actions and thoughts. We are sensible.

Watchfulness

We will be watchful to care for our own wellbeing as well as the wellbeing of others. Every student is capable of being alert to care for ourselves and others. We are watchful.

Altruism

We will be ready to intervene for the benefit of others. Every student is capable of being altruistic. We are most thankful for the most altruistic example of Jesus whose life we can learn from and be empowered by. We are altruistic.

Youthfulness

Youthful wonder, energy and trust is cherished at Kingsway! We have youthful wonder, energy and trust.

Growth Mindset

There is always room for improvement and opportunities to learn new knowledge, new discoveries and the Truth. We have a Growth Mindset.

Restorative Justice

We are not perfect and when we make mistakes, we hurt others. We will take ownership of our poor choices by owning up, receiving the consequences of our bad decisions and repairing relationships which have been hurt by our momentary slip ups. We practice Restorative Justice.
